Description

Quick & easy Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak Meatballs are made with frozen meatballs and simmered in a rich brown gravy that creates itself with seasoning packets and beef broth. Perfect served over mashed potatoes or egg noodles for a hearty comfort food dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 bag (26 oz) all-beef frozen meatballs (about 3035 meatballs)
  • 2 cups reduced-sodium beef broth
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water

Instructions

  1. Step: Spray the insert of the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Step: Add frozen meatballs directly to the slow cooker.
  3. Step: In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, gravy mix, onion soup mix, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over meatballs and stir.
  4. Step: Cover and cook on LOW heat for 5–6 hours.
  5. Step: In a small bowl, stir together cornstarch and cold water to make a slurry. Stir into the slow cooker and cook 10 more minutes, until gravy thickens.
  6. Step: Serve over mashed potatoes or egg noodles and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

Use all-beef frozen meatballs to ensure a pork-free dish. For a less salty flavor, use reduced-sodium beef broth and gravy mix. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
