Slow Cooker Shepherd’s Pie is a classic comfort food that is filling and hearty. Layers of savory meat, veggies, mashed potatoes, and cheese create the ultimate one-pot dinner.

- 2 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 12 ounces frozen vegetables
- 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
- 1 french onion mix packet
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 48 ounces prepared mashed potatoes
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Step: Brown meat and onion in large skillet over medium-high heat for 6-8 minutes, stirring to break up meat. Drain fat. Add meat to slow cooker.
- Step: Add frozen vegetable mix, French Onion Mix packet, cream of mushroom soup, and Worcestershire sauce to the slow cooker.
- Step: Stir to combine all ingredients.
- Step: Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 3 hours.
- Step: Once finished cooking. Top with prepared mashed potatoes and shredded cheese. Cover and cook on low for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
- Step: Optional- Place under broiler for 5 minutes to brown mashed potatoes and cheese.
Notes
You can use leftover mashed potatoes, instant mashed potatoes, or make them fresh. This recipe uses microbial-rennet cheese.
