Description

This smoked salmon appetizer is so simple and easy to make. Crunchy cucumber slices topped with lemon dill cream cheese and smoked salmon. These little cucumber smoked salmon bites look fancy but will take you just 10 minutes to prepare!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 oz (170g) cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped dill
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 large English cucumber
  • 7 oz (200g) smoked salmon
  • fresh dill to decorate

Instructions

  1. Mix: Combine cream cheese with milk, finely chopped dill, and lemon juice. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  2. Slice: Peel the cucumber thinly (optional) and cut it into 1/3-inch (3/4 cm) slices.
  3. Spread: Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cucumber slices with a knife.
  4. Assemble: Top with smoked salmon pieces, cut into strips and rolled up.
  5. Garnish: Decorate with small twigs of dill.

Notes

This appetizer cannot be made ahead as the cucumbers will release water and lose their crunch. You can make the cream cheese mixture ahead and store it in the fridge.
