Spicy Air Fryer Sweet Potato Chips

Description

Air Fryer Sweet Potato Chips are fried the healthy way. Less than 30 minutes for a handful of spicy chips. Vegan, Paleo, Whole30 and a delicious side dish, snack or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sweet potatoes (2 medium)
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons organic brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Step: Thinly slice sweet potatoes.
  2. Step: Toss in a bowl with the oil so that each sweet potato slice is lightly coated.
  3. Step: Mix the brown sugar, chili powder, cumin, and salt in a small bowl.
  4. Step: If any water has come out of the sweet potatoes while they were sitting then you can drain that off.
  5. Step: Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the sweet potatoes and toss so that each slice has seasoning on it.
  6. Step: Lay sweet potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer touching or overlapping a tiny bit.
  7. Step: Air Fry at 180°C (356°F) for 6 to 9 minutes depending on how thin your slices are.
  8. Step: Shake the basket halfway through or lightly stir to get them off the bottom of the air fryer bottom.
  9. Step: When done remove chips to a cooling rack and let them cool.
  10. Step: Done and eat or store in an airtight container.

Notes

Chips will get crispier as they cool. Store in an airtight container for 4 to 5 days. Can also be oven-baked at 355°F for 15-20 minutes.
