Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Cook the rice according to package instructions.
  2. Step 2: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Step 3: Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, sriracha, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until well combined.
  4. Step 4: In another pan, sauté the bell peppers and broccoli over medium heat until tender-crisp (about 5 minutes).
  5. Step 5: In serving bowls, layer the cooked rice, followed by the spicy beef mixture, and top with sautéed vegetables.
  6. Step 6: Drizzle honey over the top of each bowl.
  7. Step 7: Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes
