Description

Ingredients
Scale
- 3.5 lbs country style beef ribs (bone-in or boneless)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Preheat: Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Pat the country style beef ribs dry with paper towels.
- Mix Rub: In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Season: Generously season the ribs on all sides with the dry rub mixture, pressing it into the meat to help it adhere.
- Bake: Arrange the seasoned ribs in a single layer in a large baking dish. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for 2 hours.
- Glaze: Carefully remove the foil from the baking dish. Drain any excess liquid. Brush the ribs generously with BBQ sauce.
- Caramelize: Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C). Return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, and bake for 20-30 minutes, until the sauce is caramelized and bubbly.
- Rest: Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra sticky ribs, you can baste with additional BBQ sauce every 10 minutes during the final 30 minutes of baking. Ensure the ribs are in a single layer in the baking dish for even cooking.
