Description
Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowls are one of the most wholesome dishes to make at home. It’s incredibly easy and can be done in 40 minutes.
Ingredients

- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs (or breasts; cubed)
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 4 cups cooked jasmine rice
- 2 cups steamed broccoli
- green onions
- sesame seeds
Instructions
- Step 1: In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
- Step 2: Add the chicken to a bag and pour the marinade all over. Seal and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
- Step 3: Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add half the chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes until cooked through. Remove to a plate and repeat with the remaining chicken.
- Step 4: Divide the rice, chicken, and steamed broccoli between bowls. Season with sesame seeds and green onions, and enjoy!
Notes
This dish is excellent for meal prep. When reheating, add a small amount of water to the rice to maintain moisture.
