Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 pounds uncooked large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon reserved cocktail sauce
- 2 1/2 teaspoons Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup tomato-based chili sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Step: Combine chili sauce, ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce in a medium bowl and whisk until smooth.
- Step: Remove 1 tablespoon of the prepared cocktail sauce and combine it with olive oil, minced garlic, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Step: Add the shrimp to the marinade mixture and toss until evenly coated; let sit for 20-30 minutes at room temperature.
- Step: For stovetop cooking, melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Step: Add shrimp in batches to avoid crowding the pan and cook for about 3 minutes or until opaque.
- Step: Serve hot with the remaining cocktail sauce.
Notes
Ensure the pan is smoking hot before adding the shrimp to achieve a perfect sear. Do not overcook the shrimp, as they can quickly become rubbery.
