A rich and indulgent pasta dish featuring tender shrimp in a creamy garlic sauce with fresh herbs and a hint of lemon.
Ingredients

- 1 lb linguine pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Step: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook linguine according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
- Step: While pasta cooks, heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Step: Add shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- Step: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Step: Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Step: Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Step: Add lemon juice and zest, then return shrimp to the skillet. Toss to coat in the sauce.
- Step: Add drained linguine to the skillet, tossing with the creamy sauce.
- Step: If needed, add reserved pasta water a little at a time to reach desired consistency.
- Step: Stir in fresh parsley and serve immediately.
