Description

This Grilled Shrimp recipe is a back-pocket ace that utilizes pantry-friendly ingredients to create restaurant-quality shrimp in minutes with Lemon Parsley Butter! This simple grilled shrimp recipe can also be cooked on the stove or in the oven and it can be served with practically anything.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds large shrimp (2125 ct), peeled, deveined and patted dry
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/41/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 4 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Step: If using wooden skewers, soak them for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Step: Meanwhile, make the Lemon Parsley Butter by melting butter in a small bowl, then mixing in lemon juice and parsley. Reheat briefly in the microwave before serving if needed.
  3. Step: Whisk the marinade ingredients together in a large bowl. Add the shrimp and stir until evenly coated. Marinate for 15-30 minutes at room temperature.
  4. Step: Heat the grill to medium-high heat (400 degrees F), clean the grates, and grease with vegetable oil.
  5. Step: Thread the shrimp onto skewers, piercing through the tail and the head section for stability.
  6. Step: Grill for 2 minutes per side or until the shrimp are golden and opaque.
  7. Step: Remove from grill and serve with the prepared Lemon Parsley Butter and fresh lemon wedges.

Notes

Shrimp should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, warm gently in the microwave or on the stove, being careful not to cook them further to keep them tender.
