Description

Stir Fry Japanese BBQ Ramen Noodles is an easy and cheap Asian style recipe, add chicken or make it a vegetarian dish!


Ingredients

  • 3 packages Ramen noodles
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 onion, diced
  • kosher salt
  • pepper
  • 6 to 7 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup Japanese BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • sesame seeds (optional)
  • yum yum sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil: Boil the noodles according to package directions (do not use flavor packet), drain and rinse very well with cold water so they don’t overcook.
  2. Sauté: Set a large skillet or wok over medium high heat. Once hot add the olive oil along with the chicken (if using), onion, kosher salt, and pepper. Cook 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Combine: Add the garlic and the cooked noodles, Japanese BBQ sauce (or hoisin sauce), soy sauce, sriracha, and butter.
  4. Stir Fry: Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring and pressing the noodles so they become slightly crisp. Add the green onions and cook another 1 to 2 minutes.
  5. Serve: Serve with sesame seeds and add more Japanese BBQ sauce and/or yum yum sauce if desired.

Notes

You can easily substitute hoisin sauce if you can’t find Japanese BBQ sauce.
